Hi everybody. How have February been treating you guys? It' my final week of school in my entire poly life this week. Feels so bittersweet. Will definitely miss the school and most importantly, the people.

Anyway, this blog will be dedicated to Eunice's 20th birthday celebration at Desaru last December. It has been so long since the group of us travelled to somewhere like really far so I guess Desaru is the furthest we went to for the past 2 or 3 years? Let's go to somewhere further soon peepos.

So we drove up in two cars and I was in Gigi's car, where she drove really slow for as long as I know her, because our parents were really worried about us driving there due to the recent accident that happened to the group of teenagers on the way back from Desaru.

It's Friday you all!!! Well I should say it's an extra exciting Friday today because it's CNY week and tonight we're all going to celebrate Fish's 21st birthday at this private villa she owns. For a night lol.

I'm in school right now and I can't decide what food to get before class starts in 2 hours so I guess I shall blog about Christmas party at Angeline's last year. OMG 2011, last year.

So it's a little bit different at Angeline's ~~this~~last year because her parents went on a vacation so we had the entire house to us. Sucks that I didn't get to stayover that night though.

Whazzup peepow! It's been 2 weeks past 2011 and I think I've pretty much adjusted myself to the whole 2012 atmosphere and mood already. Like you know, start taking the whole end of the world issues kind of seriously because for as much as I think it'll most probably not happen, it's still kind of fearful to think about all the predictions that came true and the end of this whole life cycle of the Earth is one of them..

Well if I really were to die this year, it'll probably be filled with so much regrets. I mean obviously there's so much more things that I haven't experienced in life. Furthering my studies, start my own career, provide my family the life they deserve to have, see who will I end up with or how lonely I would be at the very end and yadda yaddas. Those are just the very basic ones, the list could go on and on we all know that. What about you guys?

By the way, below are pictures from Jasmine's birthday celebration! Funny how I'm embracing the big 21 years old in a few weeks' time and my best friend has JUST turned 20. Whatever it is, she's still awesome and I love her till the world ends. Which might be pretty short if we're all going to be sucked into a black hole or get drowned or blown up this December. TOUCHWOOD!

Second post of the new year, not feeling exactly too good right now. There's just too many things to be worried about and sometimes I'm just not the most positive person around I know. I guess I just have to take heart. To think that I still have my friends and family around me makes me feel much better.

Totally didn't expect myself to say something like that but 2012, please be nice or if not, better than 2011. You know sometimes at the start of the year you kind of have the feeling about how the year will turn out to be. Like in some of my secondary school years, I kind of figured out things will mess up but some years I was going nowhere but uphill. That's just life isn't it? But the thing is I feel no nothing for this year. I can't even foresee what am I going to feel whatmore undergo. All I can say for now is there is just a lot of fear in me right now. That's so not what I wanted to be. My biggest resolution over the past 12 months was to be fearless and what is this right now?

Maybe just sometimes being fearless is not enough, there's so many other things that need to fall into place for things to happen. I hope we all get lucky this year. If everyone was granted with three lucky stars for their entire life, I would so use my first one right now. But too bad, I guess the guy up there didn't create bullshit like that. He has better things for us I guess (:

Happy New Year to all! It's been a great year in 2011 filled with tears and joy, and of course the awesome friends and family. I met so many people in 2011, stayed in a foreign land without my family for six good months, set foot on so many fantastic places in China, did things that I most probably will not forget in 20 years time lol, tried so much food it got me fat but only happier, had so much emotions running in me I stopped feeling at a certain point of time it felt good, then I still revert back to who I was and realized nothing beats being yourself.

I guess there's too much to type about 2011 so here's a photo recap for that wonderful year behind me now. Photos might not be in order or they might not be the most glamorous ones, but they all hold special meaning to me and maybe some of you reading this.

Got my hands freezing cold, walked down the street in an unfamiliar city like I belong to somewhere else other than here.

Had dinner from Pacman Shop.

Got so nervous on first day of work.

Clubbed for the first time during the winter.

Fell in love with the trees because they had no leaves.

Everyday we're shufflin'. No seriously.

Got a haircut in China for the first time.

Found my second home in Shanghai.

Found warmth in the cold.

Had the most frequent breakfast in 2011.

Need to confess that my saliva flew out of my mouth during a spin ride.

Watched my first movie in a China's theatre.

Visited a different water village other than Wu Zhen.

Met Pudding.

Saw Jay Chou and Jolin Tsai in person.

Realized unicorns are real.

Broke my favourit-est ring but earned something more than that.

Saw the beauty in so many things and people even without illumination.

Really want to thank this big guy.

Am so amazed to be wandering in a foreign city, meeting people who feels exactly the same like me. The view from that night, I won't forget.

Slept the least, I guarantee.

Became famous too guys.

Cab-dived for the first time in my life.

Stood right in front of the place I've been watching from the TV for the past 20 years.

Felt like an emperor too..

Tried deep-fried scorpions.

Set foot on The Great Wall of China, with people I've never expect to be with, at a time I never thought I'd be there.

Visited the Olympics Park, Beijing.

Met the pandas in person!

Tried authentic Peking Roasted Duck.

Stayed in a backpackers' hotel for the first time in my life and had to share the dorm with total strangers.

Received the most free alcohol I ever had lol.

Performed for strangers.

Did an imaginary commercial shoot with Brenda.

Went to the International Beer Festival in Qingdao that was MEHHH.

Went to the first circus in my entire lifetime that was MEHH too but they had elephants so it's relephant.

Stood on the rocks in Qingdao's sea.

Watched Qingdao city from above.

Took the fastest train in the world.

Got a sweet surprise by lovely people the moment I reached home, after six long months.

Went to the beach with my family and realized how my parents have aged while I'm busy growing up.

Met up with people I don't get to see too often, but they still live somewhere inside me.

Travelled with my family for the first time to Macau.

Had my first class gathering with the entire cohort after almost three years..

Literally lived in the agency's office with my groupmates..

Had my virgin clubbing experience in Singapore.

Cried, hugged, smiled, waved, reminisce, fear and hope the most at one place, for one person.

Am so glad I still have the people I could fall back on at the end of the day..

I guess that's about it, my photo recap of year 2011. There's so many people I really want to thank for all the good and bad times, you guys know who you are. I would also like to extend my apologies to people who got offended, upset, or hurt by my words or doings. It's all these moments and people that made me a better person and mature into a young, fine lady LOL "mature, young fine lady" still sound as ridiculous as the days when my high school teacher said it. What the hell, I'm just gonna continue to stun you guys with my awesomeness in 2012 all right.

Merry Christmas you reading this! I don't know about you guys but Christmas this year just didn't feel as Christmasy.. Was just talking about how festive seasons become more and more dull as we grow older. Or maybe it is school's fault. I haven't been sleeping proper for the past 3 years all thanks to poly who cares about festive season?

So in this season of joy I shall blog about 2PM Hands Up Asia Tour in Singapore that I went last month hehe. When I first got to know about the gig while I was still in Shanghai, I was SO stoked. Like finally my boyfriends are coming over and make everything public for us lol. So Ser Min and I bought the tickets even before they were released because duhh, tell me what avid fans are incapable of. It was with the help of our friend actually so we owe him big time.

But to be honest, I seriously don't consider myself as an avid fan of 2PM because the furthest I was willing to go was to queue one night before the concert but there were fans who queued 3 days earlier before the concert. Man I respect those bitches.

Buying the most expensive ticket to my idol's concert wasn't suppose to materialize before I earn my own moolah so this, really meant a lot to me hehe.

We were so near to the stage. If you're wondering why we didn't get the tickets at the mosh pits, it's because something cocked up when we purchased the tickets but it's really a blessing in disguise I should say because the people at the mosh pits were having difficulty watching the boys as they walk around the stage while we're just sitting there watching them comfortably like a bauss.

Yeah, Eunice joined in the craze that night with us.

Just got back from 2PM HANDS UP ASIA TOUR CONCERT!!!!

Can't imagine the day I've been looking forward the most for so long, is already over.

Suddenly had the urge to blog partly because I'm still so stoked from the whole concert, but other than that I've been thinking about how this year had really turned out good to me. If not, definitely better than 2010.

The people I met, places I went, all the things that've happened. They all have one thing in common though, which is all gone too soon. But whatever it is, thank you so much to my friends and family who stood by me all these while, and all the new people I've met along the way this year.

I know this is such a random post.

Just felt so grateful for everything that I have, and for those that I can't have, they'll always be beautiful.

Macau Trip Part 2!

Good afternoon all the beautiful people! Haven't been updating a lot as school started few weeks ago and all the assignments are coming in already.

But it feels so incomplete if I don't blog about my second part in Macau soon so here you go!

Day 2 in Macau starts with us visiting a famous dim sum restaurant that you won't get to go if you're following a tour instead, and that will really be a huge loss because the food there are so fresh and yummy!

Mum and Dad so obsessed with buying fruits everytime they go overseas..

This is one of their markets and they only open around 8-ish in the morning? Macau housewives must be so fortunate. Can't even find a reason NOT to stay in bed later lol

They actually serve less than 10 kinds of dim sum? But they are all so good you can't stop refilling.

Yeap, the rest of day was spent on last minute shopping which was the best shopping times we ever had in Macau I suppose before we left for the airport by late noon.

This Macau trip has been really meaningful to me, because of the time well-spent with my dearest family members. It makes me happy to see all the smiles on the faces of people I love.

First day of school today after not schooling for almost 8 months or so? Today feels a bit different compared to the rest of the "first days" I had for the previous semesters. I guess it is different in a good way? Living overseas for 6 months have definitely changed me in so many ways..
The way I think, the things I eat, the color of my hair and also my body clocked that is so freaking screwed these days.

Slept at around 2AM yesterday night, woke up at 3AM feeling light-headed, and awake like an owl at 6 in the morning, not even a single bit sleepy at all. WTH.
Wasn't feeling really good, I was tossing and turning on the bed trying to sleep back but to no avail so I got up and get changed to go for a jog.
The stray dogs were barking and tailing me while I was trying to sweat it off, it was so annoying I wish they were all dead. Seriously, I have learnt to love dogs down the years but the stray dogs around my neighborhood are like demon-possessed. There's just this devilish look in them that I can sense because I came from the dark and down under lol wth.

Being a filial daughter as usual, I accompanied my parents for breakfast and sent my mum to work. Came home by 9 and STILL not tired. That's extremely unusual as I get sleepy by 8.30 AM everytime I wake up early to accompany my mum for breakfast, WITHOUT FAIL.
Thus the morning was carried on with me Tumblr-ing and reading news online (being a responsible youth to the society you see).

Stayed awake all the way from 6AM till now and I'm still not sleepy. Plus I am having this weird cough. Well it's not weird, just that I'm falling sick.

Wow I think I haven't update in such way eversince high school times. It's always about outings or travelling these days, we'll talk about my day this time all right. Skip the whole entry if you're not interested. But if you've read till this far, you probably already finished everything I wanted to say you dumbass LOLOL

All right, wanted to blog because as I mentioned, my mind ain't feeling too awesome today so all the worries and sorrows will drown away with this post as you read on.. This is totally not me being all emo and crying in the corner of my room sort of post. You know sometimes it just feels like you got up on the wrong side of the bed. Hmm.

Hola!

As some of you know, I visited Macau together with my family few weeks ago and the trip was really good! All the delicious nomnoms, pretty architecture and scenery, Korean channel in my hotel room LOL etcetc.

Took a four hours flight from Singapore and we reached Macau at around 9 or 10 AM I forgot hehe. Checked in to our hotel called Hotel Guia, named after the area we accommodated and I told my mum it sounded like saying "there's ghost" in Mandarin LOL.

After putting down our stuff in the hotel we immediately get started on our tour around the city area!

Walking down to the city area since we live around..

Stumble across one of the must-try dessert shop that sells the famous the ginger milk and double-skin milk. I know the double-skin milk sounded funny but that's what everyone calls it.

The ginger taste in the ginger milk was really so strong my entire family cringed after the first sip. But if you're having a blocked nose, that'll be the perfect remedy for you!

The double-skin milk tasted milky but just nice to make you crave for more instead of getting sick of the milky taste.

One of the famous curry fishballs stalls in Macau. Opps I forgot to snap a photo of the stall from the front because I was busy choosing the ingredients and eating right after taking this photo haha. It's something like our satay celup in Malaysia but maybe a slight difference in the sauce and choice of ingredients.

OMG I MISS THE CURRY SAUCE. Taste like Japanese curry but not thatttt sweet.

Dad tried their significant dish, the prawn wanton noodles omg they tasted so good. The noodles so springy, the soup is really sweet and the wanton is the best.

Walked a bit from Leal Senado and found another three-century-old temple, the Kwan Kung Temple.

Not far from the Kwan Kung Temple, we found this stall that sells a variety of food so we decided to try because my dad spotted fish porridge haha.

Yes, the signs on top are the amount of food they sell.. And they are constantly topping up the food so everything's fresh!

Yam cake! The yam is really chunky yet soft unlike some yam cakes that taste nothing like yam but FLOUR.

My dad and his favourite dish. I went on trying and my first reaction was "OMG I MISS MY GODMA" because she's a traditional Cantonese lady thus so far I haven't tasted any porridge that is anything like hers until THIS.

The Macau Tower that was located 1 km away from A-ma Temple was our next stop. I just realised I didn't take a picture of the tower from the outside. Hmm..

My brother and I waited for so long before this person decided to jump because we wanted to capture the moment he/she falls. So we ended up looking up for like 15 minutes and didn't dare to put our heads down in case the person falls and we don't know since the bungee jump is few floors above us.

This courageous young man decided to go for the Bungee Jump and his girlfriend screamed so loudly as if she was the one jumping without a rope when her boyfriend jumped. Like the entire floor could hear her and she kept calling the boyfriend's mobile phone frantically when he didn't come up like 5 mins after his jump. HAHAHA someone ask her to chill please

Cabbed back to our hotel to get freshen up before we head out for dinner!

Dinner was at Fat Siu Lau, this famous restaurant that serves authentic Macanese food that everyone ~~should~~MUST try if you are in Macau.
A cab driver that we hailed told us that the restaurant is not open that day and suggested us to visit another random restaurant but my mum was so smart she immediately said that he's lying and we should get another cab.
True enough, Fat Siu Lau was open on that day and thank goodness we didn't believe that fella. All thanks to my smartypants momma or else we wouldn't get to taste all the delicacies!

Roasted pigeon. It's been some time since we last ate roasted pigeon, like maybe 7 or 8 years ago? So I was damn happy to eat them again muahaha.

The cellar door is really unique in a way that it's kind of hard to find the restaurant if you don't take notice of this little door. Like who would expect a well-known restaurant would be hidden among the alleys, behind a wooden cellar door? It's like a whole new world behind that dark alley once you step in LOL

One of the top bakeries in Macau to get your traditional Macau pastries, Pastelaria Koi Kei.

Every staff in the shop are persuading you to try every single pastry they have and if you don't they even start questioning you why you do not want to haha. But they're really nice people, like they don't make you try and start asking you how much are you buying the next second. Instead they just explain each kind of pastry patiently to you and if you don't purchase in the end, they're all smiles and totally cool with it.

We bought like 3 big bags of them and my dad actually gave away everything already so I hated him for few minutes for that. I love the almond cookies!!

Something you shouldn't miss if you're visiting Macau AND you're above 18 is definitely the casinos!

Macau has about 34 casinos all together and we visited about 8 or 9 throughout the entire trip. Some of the must-go ones are like Lisboa, The Venetian, City of Dreams, MGM, Sands, Galaxy, Wynn, Hard Rock and Crown. I went to all of what I've just mentioned except MGM.

Outside the new Lisboa Hotel, ready to visit the casino LEGALLY for the first time because the previous times I entered the Genting casinos I used someone's ID haha.

Just so you know, the owner of Lisboa is called Stanley Ho, this guy monopolizes the gaming industry in the entire Macau and was given the title "The King of Gambling". About half of the thirty-odd casinos in Macau I've mentioned earlier are owned by this guy that has four wives and 17 kids WTH.

He actually displays his collection of art pieces that are priced sky-high in the hotel lobby of Lisboa and we were really in awe because they all are so majestic and intricate.

Look at this, it's a freaking sculpture. How did the artist do it seriously.. There's another one I didn't take picture of, it's a sculpture of The Great Wall of China, with all the details and stories' characters related to The Great Wall, and it was sculpted from a single piece of tree bark.

This man is so rich he actually collects gold. Like I collect Hello Kitty stickers and arrange them so proudly on my sticker album and this guy collects gold as his hobby wtf.

Not just normal gold but humungous art pieces in gold, like this.

You know the sign plates throughout the hotel lobby? They are all in GOLD. Not gold-plated but the entire chunk of metal on the wall that says for example "Management Office" is gold. Then there will be another plate below the sign that is also another chunk of gold will say "24K GOLD" just to tell you the sign you saw on top was gold.

WTH IS WRONG WITH THIS MAN SERIOUSLY. SO EXTRAVAGANT FOR WHAT.

Ok something not gold finally. I hope, at least. Yes before I forget, all the chandeliers in the hotel and casino are made from Swarovski crystals. When my brother told me that I was like "Owh so just this chandelier only right?" Then we went up to the casino the chandeliers were spread across the entire ceiling like it's endless you know. All these are what the gamblers lost to the casinos you see, the hard-earned money from the commoners, and of course partly from the filthy-rich ones too.

Chinese cabbage has the meaning of bringing in wealth according to my mum. All I know is I really love eating this during steamboat lol. An entire piece of jade again.

Another chunk of gold. So I asked my mum how much will the dragon's tail be worth if I were to break it and pawn it or something.. I mean, it's so crazy. I don't remember myself seeing so much gold at once eversince I was born so all these big pieces of gold kind of appeared like chocolates wrapped in gold wrapper, I am constantly wanting to break them apart..

Night ended with some hot Russian ladies dressed in pieces of cloth barely covering their boobs and private parts pole dancing on the casino's stage. It's called the Crazy Paris Show and it's indeed crazy because the same women danced so intensely for at least 2 to 3 hours with only 5 mins interval for every performance. I was in there for like 2 hours plus, they were already performing when I entered and when I left they were still dancing. I respect these people man, that's what you call the hard-earned money!

Road trip to Desaru!

What's up people!! We finally bid September goodbye and well well, I'm really missing a lot of places, people and things right now. Just to name a one, my apartment in Shanghai. We totally left it in a crazy mess before we left and I hope the people from my landlord's side will have a good time cleaning up haha. Oh yes! And the Macau trip! My dad's totally not over it and he gave away all my almond cookies so I told him off yesterday, but he said too bad for me so no more almond cookies from Macau for me anymore. SOB.

Whoever that's going Macau please get those for me. I'll pay you the price of it plus a warm hug with a rub on your back.

My mum and dad initiated to go for a one day road trip to Desaru like few weeks ago because they promised to treat me to seafood dinner at Pengerang after I get back. So zoom zoom zoom we go!

Qingdao Day 3 & 4 : Sea cockroaches.

The last post for Beijing and Qingdao trip. Ahh time flies. I've been back from Shanghai for almost a month already. Been missing Shanghai a lot, but getting to see my family members everyday and my friend quite often back at home is really comforting.

Anyway, I just got back from Macau last night! The trip was really fantastic. Ate a lot of good food and went to many interesting places, and most of all spent quality time with my family. Will start to blog about it as soon as I get the pictures in my laptop. I just realised I have so many pending pictures not posted .. Last few days in Shanghai, all the gatherings when I just got back Malaysia, Desaru road trip with family, random shots of me being awesome and stuff..

Qingdao Day 3

Breakfast at the bar as usual. Mel's eyes are so huge it's quite scary when I start staring at it for too long LOL

Made our way to the first stop for the day, Xiao Qing Dao, the Little Green Island. This is where Qingdao got its name and it used to be a restricted military area till the late 80's. It's one of my favourite spot throughout the whole Qingdao trip because I personally love beaches and the view there is really pretty. I think I enjoyed climbing the gigantic rocks along the beach the most, very exhilarating because half the time I was thinking I'm going to fall into the water together with my camera because the surface of the rocks were extremely slippery I'm too caught up with taking pictures rather than watching my way HAHA

This marks the end of our Beijing and Qingdao trip. Took the bullet train back home to Shanghai. We definitely had built a sense of belonging to Shanghai as we were so excited and happy to be back in Shanghai.

Last blog entry before I'm going to leave for Macau tonight. I haven't even unpack all the stuff from Shanghai and now I need to pack again. Not trying to whine, I love travelling more than anything but packing and unpacking are the biggest chores ever!

Qingdao Day 2.

Had breakfast at hostel's bar. I guess the place that we hung out the most in Qingdao would most probably be the bar. Breakfast, dinner, supper, everything's there haha.

After breakfast, we proceeded to Qingdao Brewery which is the factory that produces the famous Qingdao Beer, as well as a museum to educate the people on the history of Qingdao Beer.
